In recent years buildings have greatly evolved in complexity, architectural appeal and size.
Buildings have become increasingly architecturally designed which has led to larger spans, more open areas with less structural walls and supports for uninterrupted views or spaces. The sites we are now building on can often be constrained by small lot size, very steep slopes and neighbouring existing buildings. Some buildings may be located in extreme site conditions such as slope stability areas, high wind speed or loose soil locations.
Our office has successfully completed many projects with these type of unique engineering constraints which need to be considered and appropriately designed for. We enjoy making the idea the client has conceived in their mind and with their architect a reality, using practical and safe structural engineering design.
We also do alterations and additions to renovate existing buildings to either prolong their life or upgrade for a change of use. This office has completed many alteration and additions, renovations and remedial works which can see an old building, be rejuvenated into an excellent addition to the community.
This office also provides structural engineering reports such as dilapidation reports, structural adequacy reports and structural condition reports. We can provide structural inspections for things like framing, footings and slab, retaining walls and so on. We also design auxiliary structures such as concrete pools, retaining walls and secondary dwellings.
