The 3 buildings were tightly positioned on the single lot site to maximise the land usage in this sort after area of the Gold Coast property market. The engineer worked closely with the building designer, builder and other consultants to produce clear and efficient structural engineering plans.
Due to the limited site access construction sequencing was required by the builder to be able to practically build the development. A unique and cost effective batter retention system was used to reduce ground vibrations to existing adjacent masonry buildings. Staged concrete pouring and propping were used based on the builder’s needs.
The engineer worked closely with the builder during the construction phase and produced alternate details as required to facilitate construction. The building designer, builder and client were happy with the service provided by this office and we are now enjoying an ongoing relationship with this designer and builder and have since constructed further buildings together.
